How Sotera works

No black box β€” here's exactly what happens on every journey.

🧭

While you travel

When you start a journey, Sotera checks your position against every reasonable route to your destination β€” not just one β€” using live traffic data. Your trusted people get a message that you're on your way, with a live map link that works in any browser, no app needed.

β†ͺ️

If you go off route

Stray off every known route for long enough and your phone rings loudly β€” even on silent β€” and asks if you're okay. You get 60 seconds. Whatever happens next, your people hear about it: tap "I'm okay" and they're told exactly that; don't respond and they're alerted immediately.

⏸️

If your ride stops unusually

An unexpected stop triggers the same 60-second check. And don't worry about traffic β€” Sotera cross-references live traffic conditions, so sitting in a jam doesn't set off a false alarm.

🀳

Arriving home

You finish with a quick selfie (if you've turned that on). Anyone can be forced to press a button β€” only you can take your photo. Sotera checks it, and if something looks wrong it moves to alert your people instead of letting the journey quietly end.

πŸ””

If someone needs to reach you

The people watching over you can ring your phone at full volume β€” even on silent β€” and you can alert them or call 112 from any journey with two taps.

🚫

What Sotera never does

No tracking outside a journey. No always-on location. No reading your address book β€” you pick each contact yourself. When your journey ends, tracking stops. That's the deal, and it never changes.

Sotera is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.
